Revryte ("we", "us", "our") operates the Revryte desktop application for macOS and the website at revryte.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Data We Collect

Account data

When you create an account we collect your email address and, optionally, your display name. These are stored in our authentication provider (Supabase) and used solely to identify your account.

Usage data

We track the number of text transformations you perform to enforce plan limits and display your usage. We do not store the content of your transformations on our servers after processing.

Crash and diagnostic data

We use Sentry to collect crash reports and performance traces. These include stack traces, device model, OS version, and app version. Crash data is not linked to your account identity.

Anonymized telemetry

For apps we have not yet optimized for, the desktop client may send an anonymized snapshot of the accessibility tree structure (element roles and hierarchy only — no text content, no personal data). This helps us improve compatibility. Telemetry is rate-limited to one report per app per session.

Payment data

Payments are processed by Polar. We never receive or store your credit card number. Polar may share your email and subscription status with us.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Improve compatibility with third-party applications

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not read or store the text content you transform beyond the duration of processing the request
• We do not track your browsing activity, keystrokes, or screen contents
• We do not sell or share your data with advertisers
• We do not use your data to train AI models

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — authentication and data storage
• Sentry — crash reporting and performance monitoring
• Polar — payment processing and subscription management
• OpenAI — text transformation processing (your text is sent for processing and not retained)

5. Data Storage and Security

Your authentication token is stored locally in the macOS Keychain using Data Protection. Your app configuration is stored locally on your device. Remote data is stored in Supabase infrastructure (hosted on AWS).

All network communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Crash reports are retained for 90 days. Anonymized telemetry is retained for 30 days. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your data
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Object — opt out of non-essential data processing

8. Children

Revryte is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. The "last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
